Spring forward, fall back.
Clocks advanced one hour overnight last night, as Daylight Saving Time resumes for the spring and summer months.
That means you’ll lose an hour of daylight in the morning, but gain an hour in the evening.
The St. John’s Regional Fire Department advises that it’s also a good time to check and replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Many newer smoke and carbon monoxide alarms have sealed, ten-year batteries that do not need to be replaced, but should be checked.
