The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says the gym at Stella Maris Academy in Trepassey should reopen to normal activities by Tuesday or Wednesday.
A recent windstorm caused gaps to open in the gym, forcing the school to cancel all gym activities last week.
An assessment was conducted on Friday and found no structural issues, and the gaps are in the process of being filled in.
The department says further exterior work is needed to address the wind damage, and will get underway as soon as possible.
