The province remains committed to wind to hydrogen development despite not extending land reserves to a number of companies earlier this year.
The province would not extend Crown land reserves to three companies due to a lack of progress, and their failure to pay land reserve fees.
Energy Minister Lloyd Parrott says the province is very bullish about wind to hydrogen development through companies like Exploits Valley Renewable Energy Corporation, and North Atlantic.
He says he was very pleased to be with North Atlantic when they open their new headquarters in St. John’s. He says the company plans to expand its workforce from 120 to about 500 in just a couple of weeks, and it now operates the largest oil refinery in France. “I believe they will be successful with their wind project.”
