The VOCM Cares Foundation is planning to expand the Buddy Bears program across the province.

Members of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department have stuffed bears in their trucks and vehicles to hand to children at fire or accident scenes to help provide a little comfort.

Jenelle Lambert of VOCM Cares says they’re now looking at expanding the program to fire departments across the entire province.

She says they’re hoping to collect enough donations over the next couple of months to make that expansion happen.
