More than 65 local not-for-profit and volunteer organizations are involved in a Community Wellbeing Fair in Torbay this week.
The Community Sector Council says the event is designed to connect residents directly with services spanning health, housing, food security, accessibility, and more.
Director with the CSC, Lindsey Hynes says wellness is important in every age group.
Hynes says NL has an aging population, and The Wellness Fair is especially important to prevent “aging in place”, but she also says the event has something for everyone.
“Realistically, every demographic right now can access a service and can use a hand-up.”
The fair takes place tomorrow at the Jack Byrne Arena.
