Bad behaviour during a recent performance at the Arts and Culture Centre in St. John’s reportedly ruined the evening for many patrons.
Calls to VOCM Open Line with guest host Darrin Bent indicated that a couple of concertgoers, appeared to be drunk and were loud and boisterous.
Bob, who attended last night’s show, says it ruined his experience.
“During the performance, in the middle of a song, the fellow behind us said ‘I’m getting up and getting another couple of beer!'”
John Reynolds had friends at the same performance, and wants to know what the Department of Tourism has to say about serving alcohol at the Arts and Culture Centre.
He says his friends were “quite put off by the carrying on of these audience members.”
He says the patrons spoke with the ushers following the intermission and the best they were offered was moving them to seats in the balcony.
“Keep in mind they had paid close to $60 each for the seat to see this performance on the weekend, and putting them in the balcony wasn’t quite what they were prepared to do.” He says they ended up leaving the show.
