Students from the College of the North Atlantic recently made the podium at the Skills Canada National Competition in Toronto, earning a total of five medals.
More than 500 participants from across the country came together to compete in more than 40 skilled trades and technology fields.
Claire Cooper took top honours in hairstyling, and second-time winner Devin Owens won gold in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
Both Anthony Pascu and Matthew Blagdon took home silver – one in architecture and the other in autobody repair.
Nathan Cooney captured bronze in cloud computing.
CNA says the results “cement the college’s reputation as one of Canada’s premier institutions for skilled trades and technology.”
