An RNC officer was Johnny-on-the-spot at a business in Conception Bay South despite being off the clock.
The off-duty officer was at a store around 7:20 last evening when they witnessed a man taking merchandise without paying.
The man, who was wanted on three outstanding warrants, was held until police arrived to take him to the lockup.
