A man is in more trouble than originally intended after his attempt to get rid of the RNC didn’t go as planned.
Officers on patrol pulled a vehicle over near Cochrane Pond Park around 2:30 yesterday on the suspicion that the driver was under the influence.
While speaking with police, the man became uncooperative, put the car in drive and sped away.
It wasn’t too hard for police to figure out where he was going as they were able to follow his tire tracks to a campsite within the park.
There was an altercation once officers got to the man and it took some time to get him under control.
The 52-year-old was arrested and charged with impaired driving, flight from police and resisting arrest.
