A man who went to the RCMP detachment in Placentia to check in with police left with more charges against him.

Last Thursday, police say 33-year-old Stephen Leonard arrived at the detachment to check in, as is required as part of his release conditions related to a previous incident, however the person who drove him there was someone he was ordered not to be in contact with.

Leonard was arrested for failing to comply with his release order, and was held overnight to appear in court the next day.
