The Town of Labrador City has officially lifted its state of emergency.

The order was put in place after a wildfire threatened the community and forced the evacuation of several homes.

While crews continue to monitor wildfires burning near the Quebec border, all remaining evacuation alerts in the area have also been lifted.

Officials say they are now working to remove some of the firebreak infrastructure that was installed around the town.
