A licensed practical nurse at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Care Centre, who allegedly snapped a photo five years ago of a patient who was in a vulnerable state at the time, has been found guilty of professional misconduct.
The allegation against Trina Noble was filed with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Nurses in September of 2022.
The complainant alleges the photo was forwarded to a colleague together with inappropriate text messages.
Noble has not been employed as an LPN since around that time.
The college has suspended her licence for six months, and ordered her to pay $4,000 for partial coverage of the costs.
She will have to complete several courses and educational steps to win back her LPN licence.
