The forecast is looking pretty good for this weekend’s 49 and a half annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival.
Speaking with Your VOCM Morning’s Geri-Lyn Mackey, Meteorologist Graham MacDonald gave some insight on what festival-goers can expect if they head to Bannerman Park tomorrow.
“My recent solution I’m looking at right now, It does have a little bit less of a chance but it’s kind of one of those systems where all of our solutions are really kind of coming together so I’m kind of having to pick a middle ground with it and it’s looking like there might not be much in the way, maybe a few drops here or there but nothing like a big downpour.”
This year’s festival runs tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Festival-goers are reminded that there will be no concessions or vendors this year (that means no beer tent) so they will have to provide their own snacks and beverages.
The festival is free to attend and donations will be accepted on-site.
