The forecast is looking pretty good for this weekend’s Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival.
Speaking on Your VOCM Mornings, meteorologist Graham MacDonald gave some insight on what festival-goers can expect later today.
It won’t be blistering hot or anywhere near it, but it will be pleasant enough with sunny breaks and temperatures around 16 or 17.
“There’s a chance of a shower but only maybe a few drops here or there but nothing like a big downpour,” says MacDonald.
This year’s festival runs today from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will feature many special guests including VOCM’s Russell Bowers and Greg Smith. There will be no concessions or vendors this year (that means no beer tent) so patrons will have to provide their own snacks and beverages.
Admission is free but donations will be accepted on-site.
