A St. John’s man was arrested on the weekend on a long list of firearms-related charges.
RNC were called to Buckmaster’s Circle Saturday evening after a woman reported that a man she knew had threatened her with a weapon from a vehicle.
The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody.
The RNC’s Tactics and Rescue Unit was called in, and completed a search of the home in question.
No firearm was found.
Thirty-four-year-old Ramadan Berisa was charged with the following:
- Two counts of assault with weapon or imitation
- Two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Using a firearm in commission of an indictable offence
- Careless use of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
