There will be more disruptions to the water supply in Holyrood as the town works to identify the broader cause of an issue which recently resulted in a significant water loss for residents.
About half of the town, mostly on the south side, had limited – or no – water for more than 24 hours over the weekend.
The issue resulted in several businesses having to close, as well as cancellation of the town’s popular Squidfest Country Beach Party.
Six leaks have been identified in the town’s water lines, and are in the process of being repaired.
Mayor Laura Crawley says while water is currently flowing at the moment, and the pressure is good, there will be more interruptions as work is carried out.
She says their goal is to have water flowing to the town from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., but service could be disrupted as they continue their investigation and fix the leaks.
