RCMP are seeking more information from the public after a concerning report over the weekend.
Someone reported hearing a person calling for help in the area of Pleasant Street near the government wharf in Port aux Basques around midnight on Sunday morning.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any people or suspicious activity.
A door-to-door canvass of nearby homes was also unable to shed any light on the reported noise.
Police are asking anyone with further information or surveillance footage in the area of the wharf in Port aux Basques to give them a call at 709-695-2149 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
