The town of Gander is investigating ongoing reports of fireworks being discharged late at night and into the early morning in some parts of town.
The town says it understands residents’ frustration, and it is working with local fireworks retailers and the RCMP about the unwelcome disruptions.
Gander, which says its bylaws include provisions related to unreasonable noise, also says it will pursue “appropriate enforcement action where sufficient evidence is available.”
In the meantime, it’s asking residents to help out by passing on relevant information to the town.
