RCMP are investigating after the remains of a dog were found in the water near Burnt Islands.
Someone reported what appeared to be a medium-sized dog in the water near the La Poile Highway about 30 km outside Port aux Basques.
The animal was not wearing a collar.
RCMP are hoping to speak with the animal’s owner or anyone with information on the incident 709-695-2149 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
