The federal budget will be tabled on Thursday, and Premier Tony Wakeham says there are several areas of concern for this province that he will be looking out for.
Wakeham says a lot of attention is being paid to the Churchill Falls deal – the Churchill River is on the cover of the federal budget document – but there are other areas where the province would like to see increased funding.
He says the $10-a-day childcare program, health transfers, and housing are all at the top of his list.
Wakeham says he will also be watching to see what cost-of-living measures are included.
