The St. John’s Arts and Culture Centre has suspended bar service during performances pending further review.
The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation says the decision was made in light of recent complaints.
Callers to VOCM Open Line with Brian Callahan a little over a week ago complained about a couple of concertgoers who appeared to be drunk. Not to mention loud and boisterous.
The department says, where appropriate, bar service will continue to be available before shows and during intermissions.
Decisions regarding bar service are made at management’s discretion according to the department.
