For some lovers, getting married is the pinnacle of the relationship mountain. For one couple, getting married at the pinnacle of a mountain was the only way to do it.
Alex Antle and Tyler Bennett of Grand Falls Windsor always knew they didn’t want a traditional wedding.
The couple loves hiking and have hiked Gros Morne on the west coast about five times together. Antle says it is a special place to them, and they thought getting married there would make for a unique and special day.
They found a photographer, Darren Hatt, who was willing to make the eight hours, 26.7-kilometre journey, and along with five of their closest friends, they made the trek just one week ago.

Dapper suits and beautiful dresses aren’t exactly prime hiking gear, so the couple says they had to get changed when they got up there.
Bennett says they all got changed out in the open air, while Antle jokes other hikers “got a good view.”
The groom says he was extremely pleased with how everything worked out, especially the pictures.
Although they couldn’t have the ceremony at the very top, he says everyone came down smiling and happy.
