Eastern Health says it is making progress on restoring the system after virtually all elective procedures were put on hold last March.
The medical field was concerned about the ability of our system to catch up.
Dave Diamond, CEO of Eastern Health, says they are catching up faster than expected. He made the comments at Eastern Health’s AGM yesterday.
Diamond can see eliminating the backlog by December-January, which is much sooner than they first thought. The latest area would be cardiac care which may not be fully cleared until March.
