Whitbourne RCMP are looking for a person they believe may have information about a recent break-in at Pitchers Take-Out and Bakery in New Harbour on the weekend.
Police say a lone suspect forced their way through the back end of the building late Sunday night, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Surveillance footage showed a person, approximately five feet ten inches tall, with an average build.
The suspect was wearing black sneakers and a reflective jacket with a hood pulled tight around their face. They left the building the same way they entered and continued up over an embankment connecting to Smith’s Road in New Harbour.
Surveillance footage also captured a possible customer at the front door of the store at around the same time. The person may have been driving a red truck. Police are hoping to speak with that person in case they may have information related to the suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 709-759-2600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
