Marystown residents are being advised to use caution after recent sightings of a bear within the town.
Wildlife officials have set a trap and are monitoring the situation after a bear was reportedly seen near the Mooring Cove Playground.
The town is advising residents to stay away from the area, and to never approach a wild animal.
