A 38-year-old Spaniard’s Bay woman was charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle collision early this morning.
Police responded to reports that a vehicle had struck a guard rail along Route 70 in the town at around 2:30 a.m.
The driver failed a roadside breath test and was taken to the police detachment where samples were shown to be above the legal limit.
RCMP suspended the woman’s driver’s licence and impounded the vehicle. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
