The City of St. John’s is hoping to engage a consultant to prepare detailed design work and launch a public engagement process on the Kelly’s Brook Trail part of the Bike St. John’s Master Plan.
Councillor Dave Lane says the shared-use path will follow the existing natural corridor from King’s Bridge Road to Columbus Drive.
He says details on how the consultant will conduct the process are forthcoming but it will offer some insight into the potential for shared use public trails in the city.
Lane says not only will the process allow an analysis of the existing trail and what needs to be done to make it shared use, but will allow the public to share their questions and concerns.
Expect to see some surveyors on the trail in the coming weeks as part of that process according to Lane.
