A local pharmacist, who lost his MUN School of Pharmacy ring years ago, never thought he’d see it again until the intrepid finder managed to track him down.
Brad Buckle, a pharmacist at the Pharmasave on Kenmount Road, spent some time in Ontario after he graduated in 2002, before coming back to Newfoundland.
Sometime after his graduation, he misplaced the ring, but a month or so ago, the Pharmacists Association of NL received an email from someone looking for a pharmacist in the province.
Buckle told VOCM Open Line with Brian Callahan he thought the vaguely worded email was suspicious and chose to ignore it.
“Saying I’m looking for a possible pharmacist, they had something in their possession that had some value, a lot of sentimental value, and monetary value…The name is Bradley Buckle…just want to make sure it gets to the right person, and they’ve had it over 15 years….and it has an interesting story and he would like Bradley to reach out to him.”
Buckle says the next day he received a call at work from the man who told him he found the ring in the pocket of a pair of jeans he picked up at Good Will.
“He said ‘are you missing a grad ring?’ and I was just blown away.” He told Buckle he brought the jeans home and found the ring and he’s been trying to find the rightful owner for the last 15 years. He finally found Buckle through a Facebook search after PANL posted a photo of him during a recent award presentation.
