Totals for flu vaccinations in this province are already nearing last year’s totals.
Health officials in the province are aiming high for an uptick in flu vaccines this year, with a goal of 85 per cent of the population.
During yesterday’s COVID-19 briefing, Health Minister Dr. John’s Haggie noted that current numbers show that we are on track to exceed last year’s totals.
He says that last year, just under 150,000 flu vaccines were given and already this year they have booked 122,000. Haggie believes we are on track to potentially double last year’s numbers.
