Central Health is now offering flu shots at home for those who cannot access the vaccine through normal means.
Anyone seeking the vaccine and who requires the use of a home visit can request the service by contacting their local Community Health Office.
Or, you can contact 1-844-622-2522 or 1-709-292-8815 to arrange to speak with a community health nurse.
Eastern Health rolled out a similar program last week.
The provincial government is aiming for increased inoculation rates this year, to reduce strain on the health care system and limit the spread of influenza.
Effective Monday, November 9, individuals with health concerns who are unable to access the flu vaccine through the public clinics, family physician, or pharmacist can now request a home visit to get their flu shot. https://t.co/kPWQO1mUZQ @CBCNL @VOCMNEWS pic.twitter.com/rEpgylnFdq
