A Burin man is facing trafficking charges following a drug bust in the town back in June.

Police say lab tests confirmed fentanyl and another morphine derivative among the drugs seized, both of which could cause death or serious injury.

Tristan Barrett is facing two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in fentanyl and MDMA.

Barrett has been remanded to custody on other criminal charges and is facing another court appearance on the drug charges.
