Police in Labrador have arrested and charged a Happy Valley-Goose Bay man with several drug and weapon-related offences.
On Thursday afternoon, following what police are calling an “extensive investigation,” Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP pulled over 45-year-old Terry Parsons along Route 500 near Gull Island and arrested him on charges of drug trafficking.
Following a search of a home and vehicle on Cartwright Road, police seized a large quantity of cocaine, cash, vehicles, firearms, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.
Parsons has now been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, and four counts of possession of a weapon while prohibited.
Parsons was released from custody on numerous conditions following a court appearance earlier today.
