A string of communities along the Conception Bay North Shore are the latest to implement measures as they deal with three cases of COVID-19.

Reports indicate three people in the Western Bay area recently tested positive for the virus.

The nearby town of Small Point-Broad Cove-Blackhead-Adam’s Cove has decided to close the local rec centre as a precautionary measure.

A town official tells VOCM News the rec centre in Small Point hosts a dart league and pool league and because the participants are older, they decided to shut the building down for the time being for precautionary reasons.

The town council office is still operating but is closed to the public.
