The City of St. John’s has begun preparations to get The Loop up and running at Bannerman Park.
Ice is being made, but city officials are asking the public not to walk or skate on The Loop until its opening is officially announced.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, there will be restrictions as to how many can go skating at one time.
The city will be constructing a fence around the perimeter of The Loop—beginning today—to help monitor the number of people skating at one time.
The city will provide an update when residents finally are able to lace up their skates.
Ice making has begun at The Loop. Do not skate or walk on the ice at this time.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, attendee numbers will be restricted. A fence will be constructed, beginning Friday, Dec. 11, around the perimeter of The Loop.
