The province’s Minister of Energy and Industry is confident that efforts to weather the COVID-19 storm and sagging oil markets will bear fruit in 2021.
Parsons says while these are tough times for many, the groundwork has been laid for a smooth restart of major projects once the COVID-19 virus has been tamed and vaccines become more available.
Parsons believes the province has managed to do reasonably well despite the pandemic, although he acknowledges it’s been a very difficult year for many. However, he’s convinced the decisions being made now, particularly around the distribution of $320 million from Ottawa, will go a long way toward stabilizing jobs and finances in 2021 and beyond.
