Some positive news regarding Newfoundland and Labrador’s COVID-19 numbers.
There are no new cases of the virus today and there has been one new recovery. There are now 18 active cases in the province, one of which is in hospital.
As well, the investigation into the source of yesterday’s infection has been completed. The case is travel-related, the person recently returned from work in Manitoba.
Over 72,000 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the province to date.
Meanwhile, Public Health officials have issued an advisory to passengers onboard Air Canada Flight 8880 from Halifax to Deer Lake on Tuesday, December 22nd to call 811 to arrange for COVID testing.
The advisory comes following a confirmed positive case reported in the Western Health region on Sunday, December 27th.
