Public hearings are scheduled for later this month as part of the statutory review of the provincial Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
A number of parties have made submissions including the province’s privacy commissioner, the Centre for Law and Democracy, the Law Society, Nalcor, Oilco, the RNC and the Newfoundland and Labrador Aquaculture Industry Association.
The Review Committee is chaired by former Chief Justice David Orsborn.
The hearings, scheduled from January 18 to 29, will be available by webcast on the ATIPPA Review website.
