The English School District has asked schools across the province to “hold off” on KinderStart sessions for the time being.
The board says the decision has been made “out of an abundance of caution” and until public health officials have a good sense of any impact of the holiday on the potential spread of COVID-19.
The school board says families will be updated on scheduled sessions later this month.
One of the concerns says Premier Andrew Furey is about allowing parents to accompany their children in school.
