The Iron Ore Company of Canada has donated $30,000 to Labrador West Child Care Incorporated to purchase new equipment and provide an “even safer environment” for children in daycare during the pandemic.
Under current COVID regulations, parents cannot enter the daycare and staff cannot move freely in and out of homerooms, making communications more challenging says IOC.
The donation announced today will help with the installation of a new audiovisual communication system with a unit in every room.
The rest of the funds will be used to buy new classroom furniture to encourage social distancing.
