A woman has been charged with impaired driving after leaving the scene of a collision in St. John’s early Saturday morning.
At around 7:30 a.m., RNC responded to the report of a collision the east end of the city.
Police were able to locate the driver who had fled the scene on foot.
The 30-year-old woman was charged with impaired driving, driving while over 80 mg and theft of a motor vehicle. She was also issued tickets for driving while having a suspended driver’s licence, expired driver’s licence and no insurance.
The woman was released to appear in court at a later date and the vehicle was impounded.
