A Nunavut man accused of killing another man where they were staying on Roaches Line will remain at HMP for now.
30-year-old Patrick Sulurayok has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the incident on Tuesday night.
Police were called to the scene around 9 p.m. after receiving a report of an unresponsive man. The victim was rushed to hospital in Carbonear where he later died.
RCMP did not say where the incident occurred, only referring to it as a “commercial accommodation.”
Sulurayok made his first appearance in court in Harbour Grace but the matter has been transferred to Supreme Court in St. John’s.
A date for a bail hearing has yet to be set.
