We’re all in this together is taking on a new meaning for some this summer.
AshleyMadison.com an online dating website marketed to people who are married or in relationships has released Canada’s top 20 hotspots for summertime infidelity and St. John’s is number one.
Paul Keable the Chief Strategy Officer says while Newfoundland fared much better from a COVID perspective in terms of lockdown, their site saw a dramatic uptick in new memberships from St. John’s when the lockdown started taking hold.
He says if you’re in a relationship where there are any issues or cracks of a problem and you force those individuals to spend a lot of time together in a lockdown – without an outlet to relieve that tension – those cracks are going to deepen and grow wider.
Keable says the rankings are based on new membership signups per capita.
