A man who thought it ok to boast about his driving abilities has also attracted the attention of police.
RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay got a report a few days ago of somebody posting a video of dangerous driving on social media. The video, posted on Snapchat, showed speeds of about 170 km/h while using a cell phone and having a sleeping passenger on board.
Police have ticketed the 23-year-old man who made it easy for them to find him by identifying himself.
The man was ticketed for excessive speeding, not wearing a seat belt, and using a cell phone while driving. His licence was suspended.
RCMP warn that such activity posted on social media will be investigated.
