It’s Provincial Parks Day across the country, and to celebrate government is waiving the daily vehicle permits ($10) today for all-day use visitors at provincial parks.
The province is encouraging the public to get outside to enjoy a picnic, paddle, swim, bike ride or hike and discover your own backyard.
Newfoundland and Labrador has 32 provincial parks that protect the habitats of at-risk species and maintain healthy and resilient ecosystems.
Canada’s Parks day falls on the third Saturday of July each year.
