Lightning strikes caused two separate power outages on the Avalon Peninsula Tuesday.
Newfoundland Power says three of its poles were damaged in the first strike around 2 p.m.
It affected about 340 customers in the Colinet-Harricott-North Harbour area.
The utility said the poles had to be replaced, with power expected to be restored by evening.
Meanwhile, lightning was also the cause of an outage in the Hillview-St. Jones area near Clarenville.
The restoration time there was unknown.
