Applications for the 2021-2022 Inclusion Grant are now open.
John Abbott, the minister responsible for the status of persons with disabilities, officially opened the grant program today at the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador in St John’s.
The 2021 budget has $75,000 allocated for the grant. Community-based and non-profit organizations can apply for funding to increase accessibility or to provide disability related accommodations.
Five organizations received funding last year, for a variety of uses such as renovations to doorways, implementation of ramps, and even an accessible art gallery.
