A woman who was armed tried to rob a business downtown St. John’s late last night.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, Police, who were called while the robbery was in progress, located the suspect still inside the business.

A 42-year-old woman, who has been charged with attempted armed robbery, will appear in court today.
