Elective surgeries booked in Gander for today and tomorrow are being rescheduled.
Due to a shortage in anesthesiology services, elective surgeries at the James Paton Hospital for the next couple of days are being rebooked. Anyone with an appointment during that time will be contacted and rebooked for a later date.
Emergency services will continue, with the exception of obstetrics, which are being diverted to the Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor.
Central Health wishes to advise that it will be rescheduling elective surgeries booked at JPMRHC in Gander between July 29 and July 30. This is due to a temporary reduction in anesthesiology services during these dates. https://t.co/h9LhRQs35U @CBCNL @VOCMNEWS pic.twitter.com/uGkb7w1LP5
