The two sides in the labour dispute in the town of Grand Falls-Windsor remain at loggerheads.
The town, which locked the members of CUPE Local 1349 out on July 15, issued a release on the situation yesterday.
The town says it met with union officials late last week following discussions through a provincial conciliator indicating that the union “was willing to provide a full response to the town’s July 28 offer.” Instead the town claims, the union presented a proposal that the town “does not consider to be a comprehensive response.”
It says until the union “provides a comprehensive proposal that discusses all outstanding issues, the town will not be responding further.”
