The city of St. John’s has officially released it’s candidates list for the upcoming municipal election.
As was previously announced, Mayor Danny Breen, Deputy Mayor Sheilagh O’Leary, and Ward 4 councilor Ian Froude have all been acclaimed in their respective positions.
There are three people running in Ward 1 and Ward 3, four people in Ward 2 and Ward 5, and 13 people running at large.

The City of Mount Pearl has also released its official list of candidates for the municipal election.
Two people are running for mayor, incumbent Dave Aker and Roy Locke.
Twelve people have come forward for the six remaining seats on council.
They include Bill Antle, Denise French, Isabelle Fry, Nicole Kieley, Chelsea Lane, Jim Locke, Sandra Milmore, Susan Pearcey, Mark Rice, Terry Ryan, Charlene Walsh and Mike Wills.
